Season tickets perks, mini-packages coming for Ole Miss fans | Sports & Recreation
Ole Miss is offering new advantages for football season ticket holders, and to help those unable to purchase season tickets, an affordable mini-package will soon be available.
Beginning Wednesday, season ticket holders have the opportunity to purchase additional single-game tickets by phone. In addition, August is “Referral Month,” and season ticket holders will receive a Hugh Freeze autographed helmet by referring four fans to purchase season tickets.
“Our season ticket holders are the lifeblood of Rebel Nation, and we are extremely grateful for their loyalty,” said Athletics Director Ross Bjork. “Season tickets sold is just under 34,000 (not including students) and is behind our pace of a year ago. It’s important that we sell out Vaught-Hemingway Stadium and paint the crowd Red and Blue, giving our players the best possible home field advantage.”
In recognition of the struggling economy, the “Pick 3” mini-package will be available on August 8. Fans get a ticket to any three games on the Rebels’ 2012 home schedule for the reduced price of $199.
“All we can ask is for our fans to give what they can, and in that vein, we want to make every game available to all of Rebel Nation, including those tickets that are in high demand,” Bjork said. “We hope this affordable ticket package is a viable option for those fans who are unable to purchase a season ticket at this time.”
Any remaining individual game tickets will go on sale to the general public on August 27.
